WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE USING YOUR KITCHENAID STAND MIXER
Recently I helped one of my BFF's recover from surgery. As a token of her appreciation she gifted me a five quart artisan Kitchen Aid stand mixer OMG there are forty five colors to choose from!
When I shared my elated news with other friends, one of them told me a story about when she used hers for the first time. She had the stainless steel bowl as well. She was making a batch a sugar cookies that turned out grey. Aren't sugar cookies suppose to be a nice soft shade of yellow! Turns out this happen because there is a manufacturing grey residue on the inside of the bowl.
To avoid this residue from transferring onto your food try this safe cleaning solution. Mix lemon juice with baking soda and a little warm water to form a paste.
Spread the paste all over the interior and allowing it sit and dry.
Remove the paste. I used blue Dawn dish detergent with a non abrasive sponge. Once you've done this your Kitchen Aid is ready for use!
*Kitchen Aid is working on updated there instruction manual to include instructions for cleaning and caring for your appliances.
